TORI AMOS

10 March 2014

Following her highly successful five concert sell-out South Africa tour in 2011, eight-time Grammy Award nominated singer-songwriter, pianist and composer, Tori Amos returns to South Africa at the end of June for four performances as part of her world tour in support of her latest album, Unrepentant Geraldines.

Amos begins her SA tour at the Teatro at Montecasino on Thursday, 26 June and Friday, 27 June commencing at 20:00, followed by two concerts at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on Sunday, 29 June at 18:00 and Monday, 30 June at 20:00

Performing in bars and clubs since the age of 13, Amos has since evolved into one of the most respected and inspiring live performers. She believes that some songs sound better performed live and has toured relentlessly since 1991, making the stage one of the fundamentals of her exceptional career. Rolling Stone magazine voted her one of the best live performers of all time.

The release of Unrepentant Geraldines, her 14th studio album, is supported by an extensive world tour starting on Wednesday, 7 May in Dublin and including shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall and concert dates in Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Moscow, Warsaw, Johannesburg and Cape Town. Thereafter Amos will tour major cities across the USA including Las Vegas, New York, Washington DC, Miami and Orlando.

The album Unrepentant Geraldines is a return to Amos’ core identity as a creator of contemporary songs of exquisite beauty following a series of more classically inspired and innovative musical projects of the last four years.

Amos has sold over 12 million albums, has played over a thousand shows and has won numerous awards. Since the release of her debut album Little Earthquakes in 1992 where she pushed boundaries with her confessional style of songwriting, Amos continues to be adored, picking up new fans along the way, romanced by her messages of empowerment, tenderness, acerbic assertiveness, and of course her utterly peerless sound.

Following the phenomenal response to the sell-out 2011 SA tour, a high demand for tickets is anticipated for Amos’ concerts. To avoid disappointment, book now Computicket or visit www.computicket.com.
