HOLLYWOOD STARS KISS IN FRANCE

Actors Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor have shared a kiss while accepting their knighthood into France's National Order of Arts and Letters.

The Hollywood stars, promoting their new gay-themed film I Love You, Phillip Morris, received the prestigious award in recognition of their contribution to cinema at a ceremony in Paris yesterday.

“I love you Jim Carrey! I love you Ewan McGregor!” declared Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand while honouring the duo.

In keeping with their latest roles, the actors gave one another a kiss on the lips.

I Love You, Phillip Morris, based on a true story and described as a "love-dramedy", features Carrey and McGregor as devoted prison lovers.

It will be released at the end of March in the US. It is not yet scheduled for release in South Africa.
